INTRODUCTION TO .Net
According to Microsoft there is actually no
full-from for particular .Net and we
don’t have any particular standard for .Net . So what is the meaning of the .net
? Simply we can say that it is a software and a product that came from the
Microsoft which can be used for developing various kinds of application.
So, if it all of you developed any application now
we can simply developed them by using
the .Net. Actually when we talk about the application we need to understand
first it’s types?

1- Desktop Applications
2- Web Applications
3- Mobile Applications
Unfortunately what is the problems of older programming languages is like C,C++ we can developed a application only in one particular language, Suppose if we are using older programming languages to create an application we have a few drawback’s .The drawback’s is like we can’t used same language for developing all kinds of the application ,where used a different languages to developed different types of applications .For example if we required to developed a desktop application we just used C,C++, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder etc. With the help of those languages we can developed these applications.
But those languages aren’t feasible to developed web

application we required to take the support of some other languages and
technologies like php, Java script , CGI ,
Asp like this we need to take the help of these language and technology
to developed application.
But when you come to mobile applications development
,mobile applications development was not available in the older disk .It was
came into picture after the year 2000. So earlier mobile applications are not
available in industry it was came after java and .Net Now what is the Drawback’s and problems I am
telling you this ,if you are a programmer and you want to developed different
kinds of application we need to learn number of languages.

If all developed application we right now required some support and to provide the support what did Microsoft done is .Net. Under .Net it has provide has set of programming languages .the meaning of languages N number programming languages are there. Officially .net supports more than 60 programming languages in which 11 programming languages are designed and developed by Microsoft.
The remaining
Non-Microsoft Languages which are supported by .Net.
What is need of different kinds of languages ,the need of these number of
languages is some one came from COBAL background , some one came from pascal,
some one came from java background. Different people come from different
backgrounds all the particular people if there work with same language one
language ,they face some confusion .So Microsoft done with has given you a
plateform where all languages are supported.
